Jamie loves kids.  She has been serving in children’s ministry for 20 years, serving in roles ranging from a nursery aide to the director.  Jamie believes all roles are extremely important! 

Mary formally served on the administrative faculty at Columbia International University for 14 years; 11 years in a variety of positions in Student Development, the final 1 1/2 years as Acting Dean of Students and three years as the Director of Financial Aid.

Calvin is a member of our preaching team. He is married to Robin and they have two children.  His hobbies include swimming, biking, and playing soccer with his boys. 

Carl accepted Christ at age 11.  At former churches he has served as an elder, taught bible classes and been involved in music ministry for 50 years. Carl has served faithfully at Destiny as a Small Group leader and Praise Team member.  He is a regular participant in the Akron Marathon.

Jake is a member of our preaching team.  His primary areas of ministry include missions and helping people find a place to serve in the church and community.  Jake grew up as a Missionary Kid and later served as an missionary to the Bozo in Mali, Africa for six years.

Keith is a member of our preaching team.  He also teaches a weekly Sunday morning class.  Keith earned a Masters of Theology degree from Shalom Seminary. 

Bob is a member of our preaching team.  His primary areas of responsibility include counseling and teaching.  Bob is also a Certified Financial Planner, Founder and President of Integrity Financial Services, which is a full-service financial consulting firm.

Patti is a lifelong Bedford resident who is an active member of the Bedford Historical Society, volunteering on various committees.  She has done everything from truck driving to pet sitting, but most of her professional career has been in the business office setting.

Janet joined the Destiny staff in April 2004.  A Cleveland native, Janet is a graduate of the Cleveland State University.  She has an extensive resume of professional music performance including the release of 2 solo albums and as a featured soloist on several other recording projects as well. 

Trent is a member of our preaching team.  His primary areas of responsibility include the Worship and Arts Ministry and pastoral care.  Trent earned a Bachelors degree in marketing from Hampton University in Virginia, and a Masters degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. 

Illinois Wilson and his wife, Susan, have been members of Destiny Church for 8 years.  They have 3 children.  He is currently involved in the Worship and Arts ministry as a leader of the Tech team.  He and Susan also have a small group Bible study that meets in their home.  Illinois is currently enrolled [...]

Al has served in church leadership at Destiny, and his former church, in various roles including teaching and prayer.  He currently teaches our class for new Christians, which is a core passion of his.  Another passion of Al’s is helping men lead their families as Christian men should.
